You might need an adapter for electrical items

Some things we take for granted could be a real annoyance or cost time and money if we forget to consider when visiting other countries.

Something simple such as a camera battery charger, which is generally indispensable, can become a problem if going to a country that doesn’t have 110-120 volts and 60 cycles AC.

Many countries’ electrical system is not the same as ours and not only that the plugs are different. If you have to buy an adapter overseas or in another country, as a tourist it will usually cost more than buying it here before you leave; sometimes a lot more.
