Costa Rica in Central America

Being the second smallest country in Central America, makes it possible for you to visit almost all of Costa Rica within a few weeks. In any part of the country, the traveling time is less than ten hours by a car. Costa Rica offers great bus service that you will find the traveling easier and cheaper.
In Costa Rica, you will have a good treat for your eyes with the breathtaking views of mountains, rivers and sunsets for no cost. Never forget to visit the beauty of the capitol San Jose.
Montverde cloud forest is also cheap and attractive place to visit. You can find place for staying at affordable costs. Hostels charge $8 per night and hotel rooms for just $15 per night in San Jose.
Margarita Island, Venezuela
Another inexpensive or cheap travel destination is Margarita Island, Venezuela. You can expect a great margarita that is as cheap as a cola. And what’s more, you can get a beer at the cost of just $1 on Margarita Island. If you love to have drinks, then this is the best place. You will not worry about emptying your wallet.
If you are interested in music and love to dance, then you can spend the night hours on Margarita Island. Great Latin or Western music is played here. Also, there are several local clubs that play live music to which you can try your favorite dance moves.
Hostels on Margarita Island are not as cheap as they are in Costa Rica. However, they charge a low rate at $13 per night. You can get fresh seafood at low price on this Island. The delicious seafood meal will cost you just about $7.
Margarita Island is known for its 320 sunny days in a year. It’s a great fun to go for fishing and have a scuba diving, tanning, and horse riding during daytime. You can also enjoy a small shopping by purchasing authentic souvenirs from the local markets.
There are no direct flights from Europe or North America to the island, although it can be reached from mainland Venezuela by scheduled flights from Caracas to Santiago Mariño International Airport, located 25 kilometers (16 mi) from Porlamar.
International tourism fell 50% in 2011 compared to 2010. On 20 January 2012 about 30 or 35 Brazilian tourists were robbed in their hotel in Antolin del Campo, Margarita, by a gang of between 13 and 15 armed robbers.
Starting in October, 2011 the Government installed equipment that requires everyone visiting Margarita Island to electronically register their fingerprints and a picture when entering Margarita Island.
Since 2010, there have been four instances of tourist murders. Because of these problems we recommend caution or even skipping this particular destination if you are planning on going to Maragrita Island or Isla Margarita as it is called.
These kind of cheap travel destinations make your vacation enjoyable by spending less money from your wallet. So stop thinking too much and take a break for a week or two. Be sure to check out prices before you go as prices tend to change over time. Pack your bags and just enjoy your vacation.
